It was a no-brainer that we do Christine & Allan’s engagement shoot at the high school they met at (!!!) and where they got engaged! I grew up and went to school in a little town outside of Toronto and so the last time I walked the grounds of my high school was years and years ago. So it was so so crazy to imagine how Christine & Allan’s high school was such an important place to them. It made me feel pretty nostalgic and I just love how connected they are to this place that holds so many good memories for them.
This was a fall evening that was perfect. No need for big coats. Clear sky that was begging for a pretty sunset. And literally no one around. An isolated location allllways relaxes everyone. The whole place to ourselves!
They walked around, chilled on some steps as highschoolers do, ran around the field, got silly, cozy and lovey-dovey.
Before we get to the pretty pictures, it must be said how legitimately good hearted these two are. Super sweet. So so nice and trusting and when I momentarily lost my keys they were not annoyed by me at all. 🙂
Also their outfits were ON POINT. Vibrant, no crazy patterns, complimentary without being matchy-matchy and spoke to our little “collegiate” theme without being over-the-top. Basically too cool for school (sorry).
