Malaparte was the perfect wedding venue for Sarah and Dave, it allowed all of the colour and vibrancy they were planning but also stood out as its own feature. It allowed them to have their ceremony, portraits and reception all in one spot. Along with the views of the city and the central downtown location it can’t be beat.
They incorporated so many tiny touches that were meaningful to them but most uniquely was their focus on their guests.
They had an illustrator (@scribble.me.timary) draw each guest for the seating chart and had customized place cards with greetings and inside jokes for their guests at their seats too!
Everyone was so happy to be involved and the entire room and ceremony were buzzing with excitement.
We loved the chic wedding party attire with silky gowns for the ladies and dark suits for the guys. They really made both Sarah and Dave’s white outfits pop!
Malaparte Getting Ready Photos
Malaparte’s location allows you to get ready at any of the amazing hotels in the area and not worry about city traffic since it’s so close.
We love that they included their bridal party and also flower girls.
Malaparte First Look Photos
Can you beat a first look on a rooftop? The mirrored windows of the buildings surrounding the rooftop look like a shimmering disco ball. Dave was grinning ear to ear and Sarah was so ready to see him. They were a giggling bundle of nerves together
Malaparte Ceremony Photos
The rooftop at Malaparte can’t be beat. Easy access for guests but feels exclusive (because it is) and exciting. The florals from The Flower 597 made such an impact for guests
Malaparte Family Photo Locations
We took family photos right after the ceremony (like we normally recommend!) directly behind the ceremony space but out of view of the fun cocktail hour happening just inside. Can you believe these views and location! It looks like these photos were taken inside a crystal ball. So magical!)
Malaparte Reception Photos
This might be one of the best wedding receptions we’ve seen.
Certainly cocktail hour at Malaparte really something special. Still on the rooftop just outside of the reception space Sarah and Dave’s guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while listening to live top 40 hits and throwbacks by a live big-band style band.
The vibe was electric. Everyone was so happy to be partying and celebrating their favourite couple. Plus the passed popsicles can you even?!
Guests were led to their seats in the reception by the most charming personalized seating chart with custom illustrations of each guest.
The florals by Flower 597 at the head table (borrowed from the ceremony backdrop in a new way that makes it feel fresh and not re-purposed). The mirrored tables from Malaparte were so fun and helped to make the room sparkle.
